VISITING ROTARIANS:  None this week

MAKE-UPS: Projects committee met last night, Club Admin met on Monday night, Fundraising met last night.

BIRTHDAYS:         Jordan                   ANNIVERSARIES:  None this week

PINPAL:    Louise noticed a fundraiser from the Montague Rotary club in PEI that appears to be successful. Will gather details for consideration for our Club.

50/50 DRAW:    Looking for the 9D, Jordan drew the JH. The pot stands at over $509 and growing, and there are only 5 cards left in the deck!

HAPPY DOLLAR$:

Wynn first golf tournament got cancelled, but was pleased to announce Meldrum Law has hired an Associate for the first time: Christine Drapeau

Dianne is happy to have her 6 month old grandson home for the next couple of weeks. Also looking for volunteers interested in helping with the Salem Summer Send-off. Sackville United Church open house on Saturday June 7th invited Rotary Club 10am- 2pm

John was happy to be able to buy fresh local food for the first time this year: fiddleheads!

Patty happy to have Joyce here as her guest.

Not to be outdone, Ove has also added an associate to his law firm: Wanda Severns.

Edna was happy to be back in Sackville after a great rip on Spain and there were no e-glitches.

Sue was happy that the Canadiens won last night and perhaps we should all be rallying behind the only Canadian team left in the NHL playoffs.

PRESIDENT’S TIME

John spoke on behalf of President Gayle who is currently in Madrid, Spain and had only one announcement to share.

Reminder to Executive that Rotary wants us to set goals that can be seen by everybody. Executive has been struggling lately with the number of exchange students we are able to sponsor. Related, we are collaborating with the Port Elgin Club to share the cost of a student that will be hosted by a family in Sackville.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  • Wayne announce BBQ will be the last Thursday of June. Looking for someone who would like to offer their house.
  • Dianne  would like to have suggestions for speakers at our weekly meetings. About half of the next year is filled.

UPCOMING MEETINGS:  

None this week.

PRESENTATION

Sandy introduced Wayne who talked about Clubrunner until unfortunately the Goya’s wifi connection went. Technology is great when it works. The Clubrunner presentation will be held at a future date TBD.

 

Marita concluded the meeting with the 4-Way Test.
