WEEKLY BULLETIN NOTES

MAKE-UPS:  John attended a PETS meeting on Saturday, Dianne & Gayle attended Rotaract meeting

BIRTHDAYS:         Sandy (14th) & Wayne (31st )         ANNIVERSARIES:  None this week

PINPAL:  None this week

50/50 DRAW:    Looking for the 9D, Dianne drew the 3S. The pot stands at over $385 and growing!

HAPPY DOLLAR$:

·       Charlie is happy because he visited Holly Atkinson, and brought back a handful of SaveEasy receipts.

·       John & Sue are sad there is only one of the RCI Towers left standing on the marsh.

·       Dianne was happy to win 50/50, and happy to go see the World Championship Curling finals in Saint John this weekend.

·       Bill had a public PSA that the latest hospital foundation campaign is being launched this morning and handed out posters.

·       Ove & Pat are heading north to do some skiing.

·       Edna is happy that today is the first day of Spring, and had a nice trip to Ottawa to see her daughter’s 3rd year recital.

·       Louise was happy to attend the Princess Tea Party in Moncton with ~200 people for the Children’s Wish Foundation.

·       Pam was happy there are only 12 cards left in the 50/50 deck.

PRESIDENT’S TIME

Gayle provided a quick update on Marion holder: Foot is healing well she is in an air cast and using a walker.

Provided an update on our new arrangements at Goya’s, Breakfast charge will be going up to $12 per week. $10 per plate, $1 for 50/50, $1 for float. Equipment will be moved over in the next week.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

·       John attended a “Pre-PETS” meeting. Brought up points that were emphasized including “Satellite groups” that seemed to be forming in different regions and encouraged people to consider attending the District meeting in Moncton.

·       Josh reminded everyone that the next Pankcake Breakfast is on the 5th of April, keep selling tickets. Wine & Beer Tasting Event on May 2nd.

·       Patty provided a quick update on our outgoing student, Marina Cupideau. In Belgium, enrolled in 2 Political Science courses at University in Liege.

UPCOMING MEETINGS:  

·       Josh mentioned that the Fundraising Committee will begin meeting weekly, Wednesday at 5 at Mary’s house to sort out the details of our next events.

CLUB INDUCTION

Charlie provided our induction speech and our four members were welcomed into Rotary by their (sponsors), and pinned by President Gayle.
