PINPAL:   

  • Ove was boarding a flight back to Montreal and noticed a pinned bright red blazer of a RYE exchange student from Gemseg who was returning home following an exchange in France.
  • Pam saw a lot of Rotarians at the RCMP funeral where she was handing out blue ribbons to attendees, and recognized the Rotary Club of Moncton has been collecting donations for the families of the fallen officers.

50/50 DRAW:    Looking for the 9D, Wynn drew the 6D. This means the ticket winner next week will ceremoniously draw the final card and win the pot, which today is at $675!

HAPPY DOLLAR$:

Wynn was happy to have won the $5, and that after next week we will finally have a winner! $6 more happy for his grandkids who all won Colchester Sport Awards in soccer, track and curling, and his grandson who was Male Athlete of the Year.

John happy that her sister turns 68 today.

Charlie is happy the Town has commissioned a new oil painting of Bridge Street and the Farmer’s Market to represent the Town as the image that will be portrayed on the billboards on the Trans Canada Hwy. The artist that was commissioned happened to be Charlie’s daughter, Mary.

Dianne was happy to share a video of her grandson Bailey saying his first word: “Moooo”.

Ove is happy to report that he doesn’t think is finger is broken, and realized he’s not 15 anymore when he took a tumble running down the hills at Fort Beausejour with his grandkids.

Louise is happy to take one of Charlie’s “Sackville: Then and Now” books to her friend she is visiting in Vancouver Island next week, and happy for Mariah’s graduation from pre-school, and that the baby robin’s have left the nest.

Pam happy to be in anticipation of her retirement party.

Sue was happy to visit Ottawa to drop off her son for a summer of hard work.

Marita is off to Connecticut next week and is sending off her other daughter who will soon be heading out west.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  • Sue (RYE Committee): RYE students are approaching their departure dates: Christophe is leaving on June 26th and Henna on the 27th
  • Josh (Fundraising Committee): Pancake breakfast next weekend. Sell tickets!
  • Wynn – Club Admin meeting, BBQ at Wynn’s home at 22 Weldon Street, advised people to bring their own chair. Appies supplied, bring dessert, salad, rolls etc. Menu is BBQ pork loin. $5 donation per person, kids free.

UPCOMING MEETINGS: 

Fundraising Committee meeting on Monday or Tuesday at 5pm, Josh will send out an email to confirm.

PRESENTATION

Wynn introduced our guest speaker Brad Walters who provided a presentation on “Fracking”. George Thanked Brad for his informative presentation.

Sue concluded the meeting with the 4-Way Test.
