·       Everyone was so happy to have our first Rotary meeting at our new location, Goya’s that we forgot to do Happy Dollar$!

PRESIDENT’S TIME

Gayle welcomed George back after his break from the winter weather in Ft. Meyers Beach. Henna is off on a trip to Ottawa and Spain. Mentioned that we are glad to have Dylan back  to do his presentation on his exchange trip to France.

Tantramar HS will be holding a breakfast on July 26 and was wondering if we could offer some bodies/volunteers to help serve.

Gayle received a Note from Joyce Ferguson thanking the Club for the generous donation to the Rotary Foundation that was made on Laing’s behalf and kind words.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

·       Josh reminded everyone that our pancake breakfast is on Saturday, let Josh know if you need to switch or add tasks.

UPCOMING MEETINGS:  

·       Josh mentioned that the Fundraising Committee will begin meet after the meeting this morning and will meet next Thursday at 5 at Mary’s house.

·       Trish mentioned project committee will be meeting next Wednesday at 5:30, Thunder & Lightning.

PRESENTATION

Dylan provided a presentation on his exchange trip to France in District 1760 in the south of France. Stayed in the town of Forcqualier, population of 4650. Went rock climbing, trips into the Alps, trip to Lyon to see castles and cathedrals, Avignon to see the pont and Pope’s castle, whitewater rafting and a Rotary meeting in Briancon, the highest city in Europe. 2nd host family took him on a ski trip to the Alps, and a Euro tour with 45 other exchange students. 3rd family took Dylan camping. Trish thanked Dylan for coming back again to provide his presentation and his patience.

 

Josh concluded the meeting with the 4-Way Test.
