WEEKLY BULLETIN NOTES

GUESTS:  Mariah is here with her mom Louise and Mitchel is here with Pam after a winter break from coming out to Rotary meetings.

VISITING ROTARIANS:  None this week

MAKE-UPS: Mary hosted a fundraising committee meeting, names to be provided to Edna.

BIRTHDAYS:         None this week                                    ANNIVERSARIES:  None this week

PINPAL:  Wynn was stuck in a room with a bunch of accountants & lawyers, one of each whom were Rotarians,

50/50 DRAW:    Looking for the 9D, Jeff drew the JC. The pot stands at over $408 and growing!

HAPPY DOLLAR$:

Henna enjoyed a leadership session last week and is fundraising for her Dragon Boat team.

Ove is happy to report that things are sorted out between Royal Bank, SaveEasy & Co-op for gift cards.

Louise was sad they had a puppy to put down last week but happy to take Mariah on a business trip with Robert to Vancouver Island.

Susan had a good visit with her father in Ontario and saw the end of winter on her way west and the beginning of spring on the way back.

Wynn shared details of a Good Friday church service at Middle Sackville Baptist church and a free breakfast on Saturday. Also happy to become a member at the Eagles Glen golf course, and got his membership refunded by guessing the Master’s winner correctly.

Marita is happy her youngest daughter Vanessa is able to do her practicum at the CFTA radio station in Amherst.

John was happy to represent the Club and attend the dedication of the new lift at the Legion.

Pam met Clara Hughes in Moncton and she visited the Amherst schools and the students were able to cheer her on as she and her team rode out of town.

PRESIDENT’S TIME

None this week. (John said what he had to say and paid a dollar to do it.)

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

·       Ove reminded folks to consider their neighbours when recruiting new members.

·       Susan reported the sign saying that our meetings take place at George’s Roadhouse on Main Street will be taken down shortly. The website has already been updated to show our new location.

·       Marita reported the funds raised at the successful pancake breakfast.

·       Patty reported she and John would be attending Port Elgin Rotary meeting to discuss arrangements for the new Rotary student.
