MAKE-UPS: Trish met with Projects Committee, lots of people helped with the Pancake breakfast to earn a makeup for the storm day, and there was a Fundraising meeting.

PINPAL:  None this week

50/50 DRAW:    Looking for the 9D, Marita drew the 3H. The pot stands at over $406 and growing!

HAPPY DOLLAR$:

·       Ken was happy the Detroit Red Wings are in the playoffs for the 23rd straight year, meanwhile the Leafs have been out of the playoffs 8 of the last 9 seasons.

·       Wynn was sort of happy to be back, and happy he is not suffering through the hard economic times still being experienced in the US by showing the pages of foreclosures from a Florida newspaper. Sad dollar for one of his pups that had to be put down, but two nights ago he got a new pup.

·       Bill was disappointed the gym was closed so no badminton, but happy that’s the worst problem he has to deal with.

·       Trish was happy she got her cast off so she have the use of both hands while eating again.

PRESIDENT’S TIME

Gayle was pleased to report that the Haiti project funding has been received as well as the funding for the Salem Elementary outdoor classroom.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

·       Trish reported that funding has been approved for three local projects: Drew nursing home, Sackville Swim Club, and CHMA Community Radio.

·       Pat reported the students will be attending a RYLA event, and will be meeting with the Port Elgin club to discuss financials.

·       Josh  reported that the Pancake Breakfast was deemed a success with around 322 tickets sold. The only complaint was from his mom that the egg cooker was slow! Reminded everyone that the Wine & Beer event is coming up on May 2nd, so keep selling those tickets!

UPCOMING MEETINGS:  

·       Josh mentioned that the Fundraising Committee will meet tonight (Thursday) at 5 at Mary’s house.

PRESENTATION

·       Christoff Meyer, our Rotary Exchange Student talked about his home country, Switzerland.


Ken concluded the meeting with the 4-Way Test.
