PAUL HARRIS EVENING CELEBRATION

St. Ann’s Anglican Church, Westcock, NB

Writer's Note: I apologize for the lack of detail in the following bulletin as I had to leave after our wonderful meal. Congratulations to all Paul Harris recipients for their contributions towards Rotary and a warm welcome to our newest members. Sadly, I missed Charlie Scobie's Rotary presentation on Paul Harris... Charlie always does such a great job with these. Many thanks to Wayne for his Paul Harris documentary on our website www.sackvillerotary.ca. If you haven't checked-it-out, it's worth the read.

Program

At 6pm Rotarians and their guests gathered to celebrate Paul Harris. Master of Ceremonies was Wayne Harper.

After an official welcome, the National anthems (US and Canada), as well as a blessing given by Frank Chisholm, a buffet dinner was served.

President Ken Draper introduced our newest members: Josh Cormier, Susan Fisher, David McKellar, and Marita Webb. In the spirit of Rotary, all members welcomed them into our group with handshakes (and I'm sure a few hugs).

Charlie Scobie then did a presentation on Rotary and Paul Harris, followed by the presentations of Paul Harris Fellowship recognitions. Those receiving Paul Harris medals are: Gary Morice (posthumously); Bill Swift (posthumously); Patricia Belliveau; Edith Purdy; Susan Fisher; David McKellar; Charlie Scobie; Ove Samuelsen, Susan Purdy, and Mary Sears.
