ImageDarren and Barb C. share their birthdays this week.  Darren celebrates on the 13th while Barb will celebrate on the 15th.  Enjoy!

ANNIVERSARIES

None.

PIN PAL

ImageJohn had a sort-of pin pal, receiving a phonecall from Bishop’s University (where?) in Quebec (where?).  After the harassment, John finally let former Sackville Rotarian Bruno Gnassi off the hook (pardon the pun).

50/50 DRAW

Not sure who drew the lucky ticket, but Rob’s wife Irene won the $14.00 pot!

HAPPY DOLLARS

ImagePat stated “be careful for what you wish for…” before telling us of her passion for theatre.  She now holds the lead role!  A PSA was announced for Live Bait’s presentation running between November 16 and 20.

Pam B. was happy to have attended the Beatrice Hunter Research Symposium where she saw over 70 presenters.  She also thinks her baby grand-daughter just might end up a conductor…

Gayle was happy to have spent last week in Quebec visiting with Bruno and Johanne.

Dianne announced the 48th birthday of her ‘baby’ brother.

Beth was just paying-it-forward as George paid for her breakfast!

Ove is off to the Laurentians again.  This time picking up wife, Pat, after a three-month hiatus.

Rob introduced us to his wife Irene and told of his move to Pictou.  He also stated that he loves attending Sackville Rotary, where he feels like he’s part of the family.

Felix enjoyed a weekend with other RYE students in Moncton where he gave a presentation on a Nobel Peace Prize recipient.  He was also happy to get some sleep despite all the French songs…

PRESIDENT’S TIME

President Ken for-went comments so that this morning’s auction could begin.

FOUNDATION AUCTION

ImageOur third annual auction was held this morning.  Many thanks to all those who helped get this event underway, particular thanks to Sandy.  Wynn was our auctioneer, dubbing himself Colonel Wynner and doing a strip-tease performance.  At the end he donned a cowboy hat, ‘wife-beater’ t-shirt equipped with bolero, and a walking stick (and pants, thank goodness!).  I’m thinking maybe I now know how Wynn put himself through law school…
