Our guest speaker was introduced by Bruno.  Casey Brennan is the current President of the Fernie BC Rotary club.  He was speaking on the Waterton Glazier Park in BC.  The park consists of 150,000 hectares of wilderness, holding a great diversity and density of wildlife and plant life.  It has been called the "Crown of the Continent."  For more info visit the web site at crownofthecontinent.net.  The park is the creation of several individuals at the turn of the 20th century and was championed by Rotary Clubs in Alberta and Montana.  A risk to the park in the ongoing drilling for fossil fuels.  Casey asked members to sign a petition asking that the drilling stop so the rest of the park can be developed and completed.  Casey was thanked by Frank who presented him with a book that will be donated to a school library.
